Chhattisgarh Congress MLA Devendra Yadav was arrested on Sunday, accused of inciting violence in the June 10 Baloda Bazar case. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao alleged that Yadav was uncooperative with investigating agencies, prompting the arrest.

Deputy CM Arun Sao stated, 'You (Devendra Yadav) will carry the constitution on one hand and not cooperate with the investing agencies on the other side. Police have taken action as per the law and order.' The violent clashes at the Baloda Bazar collectorate led to the arrest, with Yadav accused of inciting the Scheduled Caste Satnami community.

Former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel labeled the arrest as 'vendetta politics,' demanding a CBI inquiry. He criticized the state government's failure, asserting that the arrest was revenge-motivated and lacked proper evidence. Meanwhile, Congress leader TS Singhdeo highlighted that Yadav was merely attending a public meeting without giving a speech or being on stage, questioning the justification for his arrest.
