Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Celebrates Raksha Bandhan, Extends Festive Greetings

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took part in Raksha Bandhan celebrations on Monday in Gandhinagar, receiving 'Rakhi' tied by several women. The event symbolized the deep-rooted cultural significance of the festival.
Sharing his thoughts on X, Patel said, “Today, on the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan, sisters from various sections of the state wished me by tying Rakshasutra in large numbers. I am grateful to all the sisters for their love. I pray to God for the auspiciousness and happiness of all the sisters.” He extended warm wishes to the people of the state, underscoring the festival's message of selfless love between siblings.
Patel further elaborated, “Our festivals are a reflection of our culture. One rakhi encapsulates all emotions. The bond of Rakhi is one of mutual promises and unyielding affection. I am praying for the happy and auspicious lives of all the sisters.”
In the national capital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with schoolgirls tying rakhis on his wrist. Mod extended his wishes to the nation, expressing hope for happiness and prosperity for all.
President Droupadi Murmu also greeted the nation, emphasizing that the festival celebrates sibling bonds and fosters affection and respect for all sisters and daughters. In a social media post, President Murmu urged citizens to pledge to ensure the safety and respect of women in society.
Raksha Bandhan, traditionally celebrated as 'Rakhi,' is a Hindu festival that highlights the bond and love between brothers and sisters. On this day, sisters tie rakhis around their brothers' wrists, and in return, brothers offer gifts as symbols of love and care.
