REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, has officially transferred the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the Rajasthan IV-A Power Transmission project to M/s Apraava Energy Private Limited (AEPL). This project is crucial for the evacuation of power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV, located in the Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex.
AEPL emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process managed by RECPDCL, which served as the Bid Process Coordinator. The project, set to be developed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis, includes the construction of a 765/400 kV, 4x1500 MVA & 400/220 kV, 5x500 MVA Pooling Station at Fatehgarh-IV, alongside 184.56 kilometers of 400 kV transmission lines and associated infrastructure.
The formal handover of the SPV was conducted by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, to Mr. Naveen Munjal, Director (BD) of AEPL, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, AEPL, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The project is scheduled to be completed within two years.
