Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) working President K T Rama Rao on Saturday challenged the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over its inaction on the Valmiki scam. He questioned, 'Who is protecting Congress here?'

KTR's post on platform X detailed a series of queries about the Valmiki scam, which involves the alleged illegal transfer of funds by Karnataka's Siddaramiah-led government from the Maharshi Valmiki ST Corporation. These funds, intended for scheduled tribe welfare, were purportedly diverted to fake accounts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as revealed in an ED investigation.

'The outrageous Valmiki Scam in Karnataka and its intriguing link to Telangana politicians and businessmen; Who are the 9 bank account holders in Hyderabad to whom the ST Corporation money of Rs. 45 crore was transferred?' KTR asked in his post. He also queried about the owner of 'V6 Business,' which received Rs. 4.5 crore, and why the media in Telangana suppressed the news despite raids by SIT, CID, and ED. Further, KTR raised concerns about the bars and gold shops used to withdraw cash during Lok Sabha elections and their alleged connections to the Congress party.

'Chief Minister Siddaramaiah admitted in the Karnataka assembly that Rs. 90 crore was embezzled in this scam,' KTR asserted. 'Why did Karnataka Minister Satish Jarakiholi say that the Telangana government would topple if Siddaramaiah is removed? What does it mean?' he added.
