Shares of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) surged nearly 12% on Tuesday following the resolution of a six-month-long dispute with Sony Pictures Networks India. The dispute, concerning a failed $10-billion merger, was settled without any cash exchange.

Stock prices for ZEEL reached Rs 150.85 apiece on the BSE, and Rs 150.90 on the NSE. The market valuation climbed by Rs 1,488.81 crore to Rs 14,489.44 crore.

Both companies announced they would withdraw all respective claims and terminate related legal proceedings, eliminating any outstanding liabilities to each other.
