In a crackdown on drug trafficking, the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Wednesday seized 33 kilograms of dried cannabis valued at Rs 2.31 lakh, suspected to be en route to another state by train.
Acting on confidential information, the GRP and RPF jointly conducted an operation at the Agartala Railway Station, according to an official statement.
During the search, authorities discovered the unclaimed cannabis, which has since been confiscated. The GRP has launched an investigation to identify those responsible for this illegal consignment, with authorities continuing their probe to uncover further details regarding this significant drug seizure.
