Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari Highlights Operational Readiness at EAC Commanders' Conference

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari praised the operational readiness of the Eastern Air Command during a conference in Shillong. He emphasized the importance of capability development and keeping pace with technological advancements. The CAS also attended the Joint Commanders' Conference in Lucknow, focusing on transforming the Armed Forces.

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff, attended the annual Eastern Air Command (EAC) Commanders' conference from September 6 to 7 at the EAC Headquarters in Shillong. He was welcomed by Air Marshal SP Dharkar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of EAC.

Upon arrival, the CAS inspected a Guard of Honour and met with commanders and senior officers. He reviewed the operational preparedness of the EAC, commending personnel for their achievements that ensured the highest levels of operational readiness and their effective response to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) and high availability disaster recovery.

In his address, the CAS emphasized EAC's critical role in maintaining high operational standards. He stressed the importance of capability development and encouraged personnel to embrace the spirit of the IAF doctrine aimed at transforming the force into an agile and decisive aerospace power. He urged commanders to maintain safe flying operations, keep up with global technological advancements, especially in space, cyber, and electronic warfare domains, and ensure a balanced work-life environment. He awarded trophies to stations for excellence in operations, maintenance, and administration.

Earlier, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari participated in the Joint Commanders' Conference in Lucknow on September 5. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the leadership of the Indian Armed Forces, recognizing their invaluable contributions to national security.

The Joint Commanders' Conference, themed 'Sashakt aur Surakshit Bharat: Transforming the Armed Forces', was held at the Central Command Headquarters in Lucknow from September 4 to 5. It saw the participation of top military officials, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Choudhari.
