The Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Budgam Police Station following allegations of rape, mental harassment, and continuous stalking by an officer of the Air Force Station in Srinagar, according to an official statement. The FIR invokes Section 376 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused officer.

In her detailed complaint, the victim stated, "I wish to file an FIR against the continuous harassment, sexual assault, and mental torture that I have been subjected to over the last two years." She emphasized that the ordeal left her mentally shattered.

The victim confided in two lady officers, who advised her to formally put up a complaint. She described going into mental shock due to the unfamiliar environment in the forces and feeling too embarrassed to come forward initially. "The incident and nightmares put me in a dilemma of whether to discuss or be quiet. Finally, I took a call and decided to fight," she disclosed.

The victim claimed that the ongoing harassment severely impacted her mental health and led to suicidal thoughts. "My social life has been completely disrupted. I am living in constant fear and under continuous scrutiny. The harassment has driven me to suicidal thoughts, and I feel utterly helpless," she added.

She further detailed, "I am unable to carry on with my daily life, and my social interactions are closely monitored and discouraged by authorities. I have endured this torture for too long and am at my breaking point." She urged the police to initiate legal action against the perpetrators, emphasizing that the authorities had failed to comply with the law by delaying justice.

"I cannot tolerate this mental harassment any longer, as it is severely affecting my well-being. Kindly register this FIR and take appropriate legal action against all parties involved," she implored. The victim expressed hopes for immediate action to ensure justice and protect her rights.
