Doctors from RK Kar Hospital have rejected Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's invitation for a closed-door meeting at the state secretariat. The refusal stems from their opposition to a private meeting setup. Speaking to ANI, Dr. Aqeeb explained that their resistance is due to the meeting's non-transparent nature.

Refuting statements from WB Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya, the doctors highlighted that their five demands were not addressed in the CM’s letter. These include resignations for those creating trouble, college elections, and the inclusion of elected representatives.

Despite a Supreme Court deadline, protesting doctors of state-run hospitals will continue their month-long 'cease work' in response to the alleged rape and murder of a medic. The deceased's father expressed dissatisfaction with CM's response, pushing for a CBI probe.
