The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice to suspended IAS trainee Puja Khedkar on an application moved by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The UPSC contended that Khedkar falsely claimed she was not served an order cancelling her candidature, although communication was sent to her registered email address.
The UPSC asserted Khedkar had received an email regarding her candidature cancellation on July 31, 2024. They added that Khedkar had used the same email to request an extension of time to reply to a Show Cause Notice on July 25, 2024, suggesting she was aware of the cancellation order despite her claims otherwise.
Justice Jyoti Singh's bench issued a notice to Khedkar, with the matter listed for a November 26, 2024 hearing. Senior Advocate Indira Jaising, representing Khedkar, referenced a press release and requested formal delivery of the cancellation order and the quashing of the press release. The case also involves a separate bail plea.
