Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday will attend a state-level seminar hosted by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala, Tripura. The program focuses on creating awareness about consumer rights and launching 100 selected schools and 18 colleges and universities across the state. These clubs aim to educate students about their rights as consumers and encourage responsible consumption, empowering the youth to address consumer-related issues in their communities.
The upcoming seminar is a key component of the government's comprehensive plan to enhance consumer protection measures in Tripura. The event will bring together policymakers, legal professionals, educators, and students to discuss ways to bolster consumer rights and knowledge throughout the region. The initiative includes the establishment of consumer clubs, emphasizing the government's commitment to fostering an empowered and well-informed consumer community. Previously, CM Saha organised various initiatives for the state's welfare, including participating in a blood donation camp to celebrate PM Modi's birthday. He acknowledged PM Modi's efforts to improve healthcare, education, and infrastructure, urging attendees to support these programs to advance the region.
