In a concerning incident, 38 students of Kalwa Sahyadri School in Thane, Maharashtra, have been hospitalized following a case of suspected food poisoning from eating Khichdi, officials reported on Tuesday.

According to authorities, the affected students are from the 5th and 6th standards. They were taken to the hospital around 5 pm, where they received immediate medical attention. Kalwa Hospital Dean, Anirudh Malgaonkar, stated that the students experienced stomach pain and were promptly admitted to the hospital. 'The primary information indicated that 24 students reported stomach pain, and we dispatched an ambulance immediately. Ultimately, 38 students were admitted,' Malgaonkar told ANI.

'There is a suspicion of food poisoning in the meal served at the school. All the students are currently stable and will be monitored for 24 hours,' Malgaonkar added (ANI).
