Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, conducted a high-level meeting to scrutinize preparations for the upcoming International Kullu Dussehra festival. The event, slated for October 13 to 19, promises a grand cultural spectacle as per the Chief Minister's orders for seamless arrangements, as informed by the CMO release.

Focusing on timely completion, CM Sukhu insisted that the Kullu administration make comprehensive arrangements for the revered deities participating in the fair. He emphasized adherence to traditional norms and dignified treatment of the deities throughout the festival.

This year's festival is poised for international allure with cultural troupes from countries like Russia, Sri Lanka, USA, Indonesia, and Myanmar confirming their presence. Performers from various Indian states, including Assam, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh, will also contribute to the festivities. The event's global appeal is further amplified by the expected attendance of foreign diplomats. A cultural parade and the Kullu Carnival, featuring government achievements, are among the highlights, coupled with competitive sports like Kabaddi and volleyball. Security will be tight with 300 Home Guard personnel and 870 police officers ensuring public safety.
