Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla has launched a scathing critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly endangering Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by publicizing his personal schedule. According to Poonawalla, Gandhi's security, which is on par with that of senior government figures like Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, has been compromised.
Poonawalla warned about the risks involved, recalling the history of violence faced by Gandhi's family, including the assassinations of his father and grandmother. He argued that making Gandhi's itinerary public poses a severe threat to his safety.
In the meantime, BJP spokespersons have criticized Gandhi for reportedly traveling abroad during the period of national mourning for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. They accused him of prioritizing personal leisure over national sentiments and alleged that the Congress party continues to disrespect the late Prime Minister by not giving due honor.
