Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak extended warm New Year wishes to the people, emphasizing the construction of the grand Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya in 2024. He invited Sanatan devotees globally to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2025. "In 2024, a grand temple of Lord Ram was built in Ayodhya, and Sanatan's tradition waved high for the world to see. I invite all who believe in Sanatan Dharma to bathe in Mahakumbh at the onset of 2025. The government ensures all arrangements are in place," Pathak stated.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma lauded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's effort in bolstering economic growth through religious tourism, citing preparations for the 2025 Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Responding to criticisms regarding readiness from Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, Sharma remarked, "The previous Kumbh, under CM Yogi, was globally acclaimed. This time, we expect around 40 crore visitors. Post Kumbh, recognize him not as 'Yogi Baba' but as 'Arth Prabandhan Baba' for his unprecedented economic management work."

The Maha Kumbh, a massive religious event occurring every 12 years, is set for January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj. The event will host main bathing festivals, known as 'Shahi Snan,' on January 14, January 29, and February 3. The UP Culture Department is gearing up to present India's rich folk arts, arranging 20 stages in Prayagraj to celebrate the nation's cultural vibrancy over 45 days. The festival aims to display a vivid array of folk dances from various states, according to a press release by the department.
