Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the government's dedication to empowering India's farmers with robust schemes and innovative technological solutions. He spoke during the Kisan Susamvad program organized by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.

Minister Chouhan highlighted the implementation of accurate crop panchanamas using satellite systems, which will facilitate immediate compensation through direct benefit transfers. Additionally, he reassured farmers about the availability of affordable fertilizers and improved opportunities for exporting products.

Addressing challenges specific to regions like Nashik, Chouhan mentioned plans to enhance grape farming by introducing foreign varieties. State Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate echoed a similar sentiment, advocating for drone usage and an integrated online portal to ease subsidy distribution to farmers.
