In a bold accusation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa alleged that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal is orchestrating a 'coup' to dethrone Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Sirsa claimed that the next two weeks will be pivotal, hinting that Kejriwal might scapegoat Mann for various failings to advance his own ambitions.

This statement comes on the heels of AAP's significant defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, where they were trounced by the BJP. Sirsa likened the prospective displacement of Mann to the removal of former Punjab Health Minister Vijay Singla. He voiced skepticism about whether Kejriwal could successfully position himself as Punjab’s CM.

Sirsa also revealed that BJP MLAs plan to meet the party’s National President to deliberate on the Chief Ministerial face for Delhi, once Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from the US. The BJP's triumph marked a dramatic setback for AAP, which saw a stark reduction in assembly seats, while Congress continued its decline, securing no victories.
