In a significant development, Religare Enterprises announced that Rashmi Saluja, its executive chairman, will cease to be a director on the board following the absence of shareholder approval for her re-appointment.

Saluja's departure marks a pivotal moment for the company, coinciding with the Burmans' revealed plans to acquire an additional 26 per cent stake in Religare through an open offer.

As per a recent regulatory filing, Saluja will cease her role as a non-independent director effective February 7, 2025.
