Speaking exclusively to ANI before the anticipated extradition of Rana from the United States, Rotawan vocalized his belief that India's fight against terrorism will see a significant victory with decisive actions like executing perpetrators.

Asserting his stance, Rotawan emphasized, "Bring him here and ensure he faces trial. He must not only be punished but sentenced to death. Only then will I have faith in our country's judicial system." He further called upon the Indian government, specifically asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "When will other terrorists from Pakistan, involved in bombings across India, be brought to justice?"

The issue took center stage after U.S. President Donald Trump announced Rana's extradition during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Modi at the White House. Trump confirmed the extradition, describing Rana as one of the key plotters of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
