Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar lauded the success of Invest Karnataka 2025, asserting that Karnataka is competing on a global investment stage. 'We have signed several investment agreements, and Karnataka's reliability is praised by eminent industrialists like Sajjan Jindal and Anand Mahindra,' he stated during the award ceremony at Palace Grounds.

The Deputy CM highlighted that investing in Karnataka supports both business growth and national interests, emphasizing the development potential beyond Bengaluru. 'We are progressing in aerospace and building on the strength of MSMEs,' Shivakumar remarked. He commended the new industrial policy encouraging investment in diverse state regions and referenced the historical industrial growth since Nehru's era.

A new tourism policy, announced under H K Patil's leadership, aims to develop the coastal zone while preserving historical sites. 'Karnataka is open for business year-round,' Shivakumar affirmed, crediting the state's welcoming environment to initiatives like the global investors meet pioneered by late Chief Minister SM Krishna. Shivakumar criticized the previous government for inefficiencies and pledged further action.
