In a significant event signaling infrastructural progress, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari, in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, inaugurated 114 infrastructural projects, underscoring a major leap in urban development in India.
Defence Minister Singh lauded Gadkari for his role in driving an infrastructural revolution, noting a dramatic increase in backing for urban development projects—from INR 1,78,000 crore between 2004 and 2014 to INR 28,52,000 crore between 2014 and 2024.
Highlighting cultural festivities, CM Yogi emphasized that upcoming Mahakumbh 2025 would bolster the state's economy by INR 3 lakh crore, emphasizing the dual benefit of cultural preservation and economic rejuvenation through tourism and city growth.
