In a concerning development, a jawan from the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) under the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sustained injuries during an IED explosion in Bijapur district on Friday. The incident occurred as the team engaged in an area domination operation, with the explosive attributed to Naxal activities.

The wounded jawan, Constable Arun Kumar Yadav, was part of a CoBRA 202 unit that embarked on a patrol mission from Camp Nambi on February 14, 2025. The IED blast necessitated his immediate evacuation to medical facilities in Bijapur before he was transferred to Raipur for more intensive care. Current reports confirm his condition as stable.

This incident follows a similar attack earlier this month, where three security personnel, including a CRPF soldier, sustained injuries in explosions attributed to Naxal factions. These attacks underscore continuing tensions and risks faced by security forces in the area. (ANI)
