Protest Erupts Over Alleged BPSC Exam Irregularities in Bihar

BPSC aspirants and Khan Sir led a protest in Patna against alleged malpractice in the preliminary exam, claiming a question paper leak with evidence submitted to the High Court. Despite escalating tensions, the Supreme Court has dismissed related pleas, while Bihar officials promise to consider the grievances.

In a significant development, hundreds of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants joined forces with renowned educator and YouTuber Khan Sir in a protest march through Patna on Monday. They demanded the re-examination of the 70th BPSC preliminary test, alleging serious irregularities and malpractice within the examination process.

Khan Sir, known for his outspoken advocacy on educational issues, made a powerful address to the protesters. He claimed to possess substantial evidence indicating a leak of the question paper, which he asserted was influenced by the Joint Secretary, Kundan Kumar. The alleged tampering reportedly took place in specific locations such as Khagaria and Bhagalpur, and asserted thefts from treasuries in Nawada and Gaya.

The controversy gained momentum on December 13, 2024, when candidates began voicing their concerns over the integrity of the exam, calling for the examination's cancellation. Meanwhile, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan met with aspirant representatives, promising to relay their grievances to pertinent authorities. Despite reaching the Supreme Court, the plea was dismissed, leaving students to persist in their calls for justice.
