Jio Financial Services Ltd and Zomato Ltd are set to make their entry into the National Stock Exchange's flagship Nifty 50 index on March 28, 2025.

The decision was announced following the semi-annual index review by the NSE Indices' Index Maintenance Sub-Committee, which led to the removal of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. and Britannia Industries Ltd. from the prestigious list.

This shift reflects a strategic adjustment to ensure the index continues to mirror prevailing market dynamics and provide significant value to investors. Both Jio Financial and Zomato were chosen for their robust market capitalizations, standing at Rs 1,69,837 crore and Rs 1,04,387 crore respectively, surpassing the market cap of the departing companies.
