Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi participated in Mahakumbh 2025, taking a holy dip at the river confluence and hailing the event as a symbol of India's spiritual and cultural unity. Referencing the grand festival as a "living expression of Sanatan culture," Governor Ravi emphasized its embodiment of the nation's integrity, spirituality, and cultural pride.
Governor Ravi remarked, "This divine gathering strengthens the resolve of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.'" A statement revealed that the sacred event has attracted over 60 crore devotees so far. Special prayers were offered for the prosperity and peace of Tamil Nadu's people, with the Governor stating that the soul of India resides in its Sanatan culture.
Describing Maha Kumbh as a centerpiece of India's spiritual and cultural revival, the Governor noted that the festival highlights India's spiritual consciousness, drawing millions seeking purification and global welfare at Sangam. The six-week event, which began on January 13, concludes on February 26. Ahead of Maha Shivratri, UP Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh announced preparatory reviews to ensure the convenience of attendees, expecting large crowds on February 26.
