In a pivotal address to the Delhi Assembly, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra, 'sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas, sabka prayas, sabka samman,' will steer the governance of Delhi. He outlined a focus on combating corruption, empowering women, uplifting the poor, and developing world-class infrastructure.
The LG announced a comprehensive focus on improving health services, education, roads, and ensuring a cleaner, pollution-free Delhi. Departments have been instructed to devise a detailed 100-day plan to implement necessary developments, while the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report aims to uncover administrative shortcomings of the past government.
Highlighting healthcare, Saxena mentioned the Ayushman Bharat scheme's implementation, offering free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. He criticized the opposition's detrimental impact over the last decade and affirmed adherence to cooperative and competitive federalism as outlined by the Prime Minister.
