Raut Supports Fadnavis in Fight Against 'Fixers', Calls for Transparency

Raut also addressed the tense language dispute in Belagavi, calling for dialogue between Maharashtra and Karnataka administrations to ease tensions.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has expressed strong support for Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's proactive stance against corruption within the administration. Fadnavis's decision to freeze the appointment of certain ministers' personal secretaries and officers on special duty, suspected of acting as 'fixers', has garnered Raut's commendation.

However, Raut has urged the disclosure of ministers who advocated for these controversial appointments, emphasizing the need for transparency. He suggested that identifying these individuals would reinforce the fight against corruption. Raut stated, 'If there are such issues and the CM is taking steps to prevent them, the public deserves to be informed about who was responsible.'

Addressing the ongoing language conflict in Belagavi, Raut called for immediate dialogue between Maharashtra and Karnataka governments. The dispute has led to interstate tensions, resulting in protests and suspension of bus services. Raut criticized the Karnataka government's treatment of Marathi speakers and recommended high-level discussions to prevent further escalation similar to the unrest in Manipur.
