President Droupadi Murmu Explores Sardar Sarovar Dam and Jungle Safari Park

President Droupadi Murmu, accompanied by Governor Acharya Devvrat, visited the Sardar Sarovar Dam and Jungle Safari Park in Narmada district. She was briefed on the dam's construction challenges and its benefits to the region. The visit also included a tour of the diverse wildlife at the Jungle Safari Park.

President Droupadi Murmu embarked on a significant visit to the Sardar Sarovar Dam and Jungle Safari Park in Narmada district, accompanied by Governor Acharya Devvrat and State Protocol Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma. As reported by the Gujarat CMO, the President marveled at the engineering feat of the dam, nestled among the Vindhyachal and Satpura ranges.

During her visit, President Murmu was informed about the formidable challenges overcome during the dam's construction. The vast water storage capacity and the intricate canal network that optimizes its utility were highlighted. Mukesh Puri, Managing Director of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, expounded on the wide-ranging benefits the dam has bestowed upon Gujarat and neighboring states.

The President's itinerary further included a tour of the Jungle Safari Park, where she observed various wildlife species, from jaguars to Asiatic lions. Education Officer Shashikant Sharma provided valuable insights into the park's offerings, with notable figures like SOU CEO Agneeshwar Vyas and Jungle Safari Director Bipul Chakraborty present during the tour.
