Forest authorities in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, have successfully captured a leopard responsible for a recent attack on four goats at the Chinnaswamy Gounder Estate. The incident occurred early morning on Siruvani Road, prompting forest officials to set up a trap after discovering paw prints.
Guided by directives from senior Forest Department officials, the team located the leopard residing in a newly constructed house in Onapalayam area. Using a trap net, they captured the animal, highlighting their commitment to resolving human-animal conflicts in the region.
Meanwhile, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a leopard caused a stir by entering a wedding venue, necessitating a 4.5-hour rescue operation by forest officials. The situation underscored the challenges posed by dense forest areas adjacent to human settlements.
