On International Women's Day, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel declared an extra Rs 2 crore grant for women legislators in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly for constituency development in 2025-26.
This women-centric initiative, a departure from the regular public welfare grants, was commended by the 14 female MLAs of Gujarat, who personally expressed their gratitude to CM Patel.
In addition, a Rs 150 commemorative coin was unveiled to honor Pujya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharaj, as part of a ceremony in Ahmedabad attended by notable figures including Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
