THDC India Expands Renewable Energy Portfolio with New Chhattisgarh Project
THDC India announced the development of a 1,400 MW pumped storage project in Chhattisgarh, enhancing its renewable energy capabilities. THDC India Ltd is set to bolster its renewable energy offerings by developing a 1,400 MW pumped storage project in Chhattisgarh. The initiative is part of a strategic move to enhance the country's clean energy infrastructure.
The company signed an MoU with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited and the state government, indicating a formal agreement to advance the project. The exchange took place in Raipur, witnessed by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain.
According to R K Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India, the pumped storage project will play a vital role in ensuring grid stability and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The project is expected to create numerous jobs and contribute to the socio-economic growth of the region.
