The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, declared on Wednesday that financial assistance worth Rs 1 lakh would be allocated to all brides participating in the 'Mukhyamantri Samoohik Vivah Yojana'. The announcement was made during a mass marriage event in Jaunpur, highlighting the government's mission of inclusive growth under the banner of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
CM Yogi emphasized the state's commitment to elevating the living standards of those below the poverty line. Starting from the next financial year, the government plans to provide Rs 1 lakh to brides and distribute scooties to academically gifted girl students. The initiative aims to eradicate poverty and bring essential government benefits to underserved communities.
Additionally, Yogi Adityanath announced plans to develop Jaunpur as a smart city with improved infrastructure, including new flyovers and better roads. He critiqued the opposition for their negative propaganda regarding the 2025 Maha Kumbh's cleanliness. Despite criticism, over 66 crore devotees participated in the Maha Kumbh, concluding on Maha Shivratri on February 26.
