In a high-stakes operation, Punjab's Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) wounded a member of the Davinder Bambiha Gang during a raid, reports confirmed Wednesday. Moga Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Gandhi revealed that the operation followed a tip-off leading to the injury of gang member Manu, who suffered a knee wound.

SSP Gandhi stated, 'Upon a crucial tip-off, Punjab's AGTF and Moga Police conducted a successful raid. The targeted, Malkit Singh alias Manu, was linked to crimes in Kapura and Jagraon villages.' Manu is recovering after being shot by officials, with authorities recovering a .32 caliber pistol and live ammunition from him.

Separately, a major breakthrough in the 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' anti-drugs initiative saw the arrest of Shawn Bhinder, an Indian-origin drug lord wanted by the FBI. Bhinder, tied to a major U.S. drug bust involving 391 kg of methamphetamine and 109 kg of cocaine, was caught in India following collaborative law enforcement efforts.
