Police Officer Killed in Village Clash During Criminal's Arrest in Bihar

A violent incident unfolded in Laxmipur village, Bihar, resulting in the death of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rajiv Ranjan. Police attempted to apprehend Anmol Yadav, accused under the Arms and NDPS Acts, during a wedding. The villagers resisted, enabling Yadav to escape.
The altercation escalated, and ASI Ranjan succumbed to injuries sustained in the conflict. Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Saha confirmed the incident and detailed the police response and subsequent clash with the villagers. ASI Ranjan was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
In the aftermath, three to four individuals have been detained for questioning. Meanwhile, the police department mourns the loss of ASI Ranjan, recognized as a dedicated officer from Munger. Further investigation is underway to bring justice in this tragic event. (ANI)
