Tragic Demise of Young IB Officer Near Pettah Station

A 24-year-old Intelligence Bureau officer, Megha, was discovered deceased on railway tracks near Pettah station. Initially suspected as a suicide, the incident is under investigation by Pettah Police. A train's loco pilot reported seeing her leap onto the tracks. Her body has been returned to her family.

A tragic incident unfolded on Monday morning at Pettah railway station, where Megha, a 24-year-old Intelligence Bureau officer, was found dead on the tracks. Originally from Koodal in Pathanamthitta, Megha had been living near Pettah as a paying guest.

According to the Pettah Police, the cause of Megha's death is suspected to be suicide. A loco pilot operating a train in the area reported witnessing a woman, believed to be Megha, jump onto the railway tracks, further fueling the suicide suspicion.

After conducting the mandatory post-mortem, authorities have returned Megha's body to her family. An investigation is currently underway by the Pettah police to ascertain the full details surrounding this heart-wrenching case. (ANI)
