Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday underscored the vital role of farmers in the progress of both the state and the nation. He announced steps by the state government to protect farmers' interests and ensure their development.
During his address at a 'Kisan Sammelan' in Bikaner, Sharma portrayed farmers as the ''annadata'' or food providers, calling them the soul of the state and country. He emphasized that the prosperity of farmers directly impacts the development of the nation.
Sharma encouraged the farmers to join Farmers' Producer Organisations (FPOs) to empower themselves and improve profitability through collaborative efforts. He stressed that the priority of the state government is the welfare of farmers, actively promoting initiatives such as FPOs to honor their contributions.
