Adani Energy Expands Grid with Mahan Transmission Acquisition

Adani Energy Solutions has acquired Mahan Transmission, a project special purpose vehicle, to evacuate 1,230 MW power from Adani Power's upcoming expansion units at Mahan. The acquisition involves 100% equity shares, completed with a face value of Rs 10 each, aiding Adani's shareholder value strategy.

Adani Energy Solutions has announced the acquisition of Mahan Transmission, a special purpose vehicle designed to evacuate 1,230 MW of power from Adani Power’s upcoming 1,600 MW expansion projects at Mahan in Singrauli district. The deal was finalized on March 26, 2025, through a share purchase agreement with REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd.

The official filing reveals that the equity shares were acquired at a face value of Rs 10 each for cash consideration, and the transaction has been completed. The total authorized and paid-up share capital of MTL stands at Rs 5 lakh.

The acquisition aligns with Adani Energy Solutions' overarching strategy to enhance shareholder value through both organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Mahan Transmission will evacuate power to integrate into the state grid, following its incorporation in India and registration with the Registrar of Companies in November 2024.
