The Panchkula administration has heightened security measures, placing the district on high alert following concerns over cross-border threats. A complete blackout will commence from 7 PM tonight, continuing indefinitely, resulting in the closure of all markets and public spaces as authorities aim to ensure the safety of residents.

The directive mandates that all external lighting at government and private premises, including shops, banks, and public buildings, be switched off by 7 PM. The order extends to street lights and advertisement boards, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to the blackout. Internal lights are advised to remain off following a siren alert.

In related developments, the Haryana Government has instructed all officials to remain at their posts as tensions escalate. This follows reports from neighboring Rajasthan, where Minister Jogaram Patel confirmed the neutralization of Pakistani drones near the border. The Indian Army has repelled multiple attacks, maintaining a robust defense along the western frontier.
