As tensions between India and Pakistan reach a boiling point, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar declared India's resolve to reduce Pakistan 'to size' and eliminate terrorism. During the 'Jai Hind Tiranga' march in Bengaluru, Shivakumar emphasized India's strong defensive stance akin to measures during Indira Gandhi's era.

The march, attracting over 10,000 participants, was a demonstration of support for the armed forces and the government. Shivakumar noted the event's success and inclusive nature, stating that it symbolized the broader backing for India's military efforts. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also led the demonstration.

Amid these public displays of solidarity, the situation heated up with revelations of Pakistan's airspace violations. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi detailed a significant aerial offensive involving 300 to 400 drones across 36 sites on May 7 and 8. The Indian forces employed both kinetic and non-kinetic responses to counter these threats, identifying many drones as the Turkish-manufactured Asisguard Songar models. This act of aggression was seen as Pakistan's retaliation following India's Operation Sindoor.

The Operation Sindoor was executed in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, where Indian forces targeted multiple terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
