Closure of border crossings has intensified shortages, leading to widespread closures of petrol stations. Officials downplay the crisis as provincial fuel supplies remain stable, despite panic over potential scarcity.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran is creating significant ripples in Balochistan, a province in Pakistan, by triggering a major fuel crisis. Balochistan, which shares borders with both Iran and Afghanistan, has seen numerous petrol stations shuttered, leading to public anxiety.

The situation escalated when notifications from local authorities suspended all pedestrian and trade movement, including crucial fuel delivery, citing security precautions. This move coincided with a government hike in petrol and diesel prices, exacerbating the panic among residents.

Despite the widespread station closures and border sealings, provincial officials insist that the fuel supply remains unaffected in the capital. They attribute the panic to misinformation purportedly spread by those profiting from the sale of illegal Iranian fuel, who aim to lift existing bans.
