Delhi Police Neutralizes Notorious Gang Shooter in High-Stakes Encounter

In a dramatic encounter near the Delhi-Haryana border, Delhi Police Special Cell officers neutralized Romil Vohra, a notorious figure linked with the Kala Rana-Noni Rana gang. Vohra was killed after opening fire during an attempted escape, prompting officers to retaliate in self-defense. Two Counter-Intelligence officers, Sub-Inspector Pravin and Sub-Inspector Rohan, sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital.

Romil Vohra, son of Kapil Vohra from Yamuna Nagar, had been a marked man on law enforcement's radar, known for his involvement in heinous crimes including murder and extortion. Authorities reported a tip-off from Haryana Police had alerted them to Vohra's movements on the night of June 23rd, leading to a coordinated operation near Dera Mandi.

Police sources confirmed that Romil was recognized by an informer, prompting a swift but futile attempt to apprehend him as he initiated gunfire. Tragically, Vohra's criminal record also includes the recent high-profile killing of Shantanu, a liquor tycoon, and the murder of four others in Yamuna Nagar last year. Investigations are ongoing under relevant legal sections.
