Tragedy Strikes: Fatal Explosion at Telangana Chemical Factory

An explosion at Sigachi Pharma, a chemical factory in Telangana's Sangareddy district, claimed the lives of eight individuals and left 26 others injured on Monday. The tragedy prompted Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to express his condolences to the bereaved families and wish for the quick recovery of the injured.
The blast occurred between 8:15 and 9:35 am, as confirmed by V Satyanaryana, Inspector General, Multi Zone II. Rescue operations involving NDRF, SDF, and 10 fire engines were swiftly mobilized, with reports indicating that six victims were found deceased at the site while two succumbed to their injuries at a hospital in Chanda Nagar.
Speaking on the state's response, Kharge stated, "The State Govt and authorities are working at war footing in their rescue efforts." The local police and government officials continue to provide necessary medical facilities for the injured while firefighting and rescue efforts remain ongoing.
