Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Pushes for Self-Reliance and Development

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by CM Mohan Yadav, took significant decisions focusing on rural development, infrastructure, and education. The 'Mukhyamantri Vrindavan Gram Yojana' aims for village self-reliance. New initiatives were approved, including damaged bridge reconstruction, a new Rashtriya Raksha University campus, and enhanced forensic and tribal services.

In a pivotal meeting held Tuesday at Mantralaya in Bhopal, the Madhya Pradesh cabinet, under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's leadership, unveiled several major initiatives focusing on rural development, infrastructure, and education. The council approved the 'Mukhyamantri Vrindavan Gram Yojana,’ a strategic move to make villages self-sufficient by selecting one village from each district with at least 2,000 people and 500 cattle.

The scheme targets comprehensive rural evolution through focus areas like cow rearing, organic farming, and solar energy, alongside infrastructure development and livelihood generation. In addition, Rs 4,572 crore has been sanctioned for reconstructing 1,766 bridges, aiming to guarantee year-round connectivity, with oversight by the Rural Road Development Authority.

Further nods from the cabinet included setting up a Rashtriya Raksha University campus in Bhopal, funded with Rs 1.05 crore annually for three years, enhancing national security skills. Additional funding for student hostels and creating forensic science posts underscores the state's commitment to employment and law enforcement efficiency.
