Odisha CM Conducts Aerial Survey of Flood-Hit Districts, Reviews Relief Efforts

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday undertook an aerial survey of flood-ravaged districts in northern Odisha to evaluate the extent of the damage and review relief operations. The Chief Minister, accompanied by senior officials, examined the worst-hit areas, including Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kendujhar.

Heavy rainfall and overflowing rivers have wreaked havoc in these regions, prompting Majhi to engage in discussions with local officials and district authorities to streamline the response to the calamity. "I've instructed officials to enhance coordination and ensure prompt delivery of government aid to those in need," Majhi stated.

Over 30,000 residents in 81 villages across the affected districts have been impacted. While immediate relief has been initiated, CM Majhi confirmed that water levels are receding, and additional assistance, including food and repairs, is underway. The state aims to mitigate further losses by maintaining vigilant and strategic efforts in its disaster response.
