Singhvi highlighted a dangerous shift in the balance of power in India and warned against the exploitation of 'constitutional silences' with impunity. He emphasized that this is not just a temporary deviation but part of a systematic ideological agenda to transform democracy into dominance and pluralism into polarity.

The senior Congress leader accused the government of engaging in 'constitutional mimicry,' utilizing the language of democracy to undermine its essence. He lamented the erosion of institutions even as democratic symbols are upheld and cautioned that India's democracy is at risk due to both overt authoritarian actions and subtler institutional erosions.
