In a tense session of the Lok Sabha on Monday, Speaker Om Birla issued a warning to opposition MPs engaged in protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and other issues. Birla admonished members to avoid damaging government property and emphasized the importance of constructive discourse.

The Speaker cautioned that continued disruptions could lead to decisive action. Birla highlighted past incidents where sanctions were imposed for similar conduct and reiterated that no member has the right to destroy public property. The session was eventually adjourned till noon due to the uproar.

Protests persisted outside the parliament as part of the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) coalition's opposition to the SIR in election-bound Bihar. Despite the Election Commission's denial of vote rigging claims and a demand for proof from Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, accusations of 'vote chori' continue to fuel heated debates in and outside the parliamentary precincts.
