A Delhi court official accused of being in a compromising video with a judge has been cleared of all charges following an inquiry that revealed no evidence of misconduct. The inquiry, conducted by a District Judge at Tis Hazari Court, concluded that no immoral acts or misconduct could be established against Ms A.
The inquiry officer's report, submitted to the Principal District & Sessions Judge (HQs) at Tis Hazari, found that the department failed to substantiate any charges against Ms A. The report emphasized the lack of evidence of any immoral behavior during office hours, dismissing allegations against her.
The inquiry also questioned the reliability of the video evidence, citing discrepancies in the pen drives and the lack of accredited forensic analysis under Section 79A of the IT Act. Witness accounts were deemed insufficient, as they were based on viral videos seen online without authentic verification.
Departmental witnesses acknowledged seeing the alleged video on social media but could not confirm its legitimacy. The judge's orderly admitted to having viewed a clip online yet was uncertain of its authenticity. The inquiry underscored that character accusations require rigorous scrutiny, and vague testimonies cannot justify disciplinary measures.
Consequently, the Inquiry Report concluded that there was no basis for the charges against Ms A, thereby exonerating her from all accusations.
