On Friday, Murae Organisor Ltd, a pharmaceutical company, revealed significant developments in its new agricultural division. The company has secured supply orders valued at Rs 297 crore from various domestic clients, including those in FMCG, agri-processing, and commodity trade sectors. These orders encompass a variety of essential agricultural products such as mustard seeds, groundnuts, and chickpeas, and will be fulfilled in multiple tranches as per an exchange filing by the company.
The initial tranche, pegged at approximately Rs 57 crore, is set to be executed within the next 30 days. Murae Organisor has earmarked an investment of Rs 20-25 crore to establish a distillery and grow pomegranates in Kutch, Gujarat, as part of its agri venture. This move aligns with the company's strategy to diversify and enhance its presence in the agro-industrial market.
Previously involved in the marketing, trading, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, Murae Organisor reported a net profit of Rs 7.43 crore for the June quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, with a total income of Rs 12.99 crore in the first quarter. The company is keen on expanding its product range by entering the agro-field and producing value-added items.
