The Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE), a prominent Group 'A' cadre under the Ministry of Defence, celebrated its 76th Raising Day on September 17, 2025, at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantt. The event was graced by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, Singh lauded the IDSE cadre officers for their invaluable contributions towards bolstering national defence through state-of-the-art infrastructure development. He emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant to handle emerging challenges amidst a constantly changing security environment, underlining the need to adopt cutting-edge technologies.
Following the Defence Secretary's speech was a cultural program featuring dance performances orchestrated by artists from the Indian Council of Cultural Relations. The event drew the presence of senior civilian and military officials from the Ministry of Defence and Army Headquarters, underscoring the IDSE's pivotal role since its inception on September 17, 1949, in advancing India's defence engineering capacity.
