Telangana's former Minister for IT, Industries, and Urban Development, K T Rama Rao (KTR), has been honored with the opportunity to deliver the keynote speech at the Global Economic and Technology Summit (GETS) 2025. The event, set to take place from November 10 to 12, 2025, at The Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, was announced in a press release by the BRS.

This invitation was extended by Dr. A.U.L.A. Hilmy, Director General of GETS Sri Lanka, on behalf of Sri Lanka's Ministry of Science and Technology. Dr. Hilmy praised K T Rama Rao for his exemplary leadership and transformative impact in establishing Telangana as a flourishing IT hub. His participation is expected to inspire policymakers across South Asia and bolster India-Sri Lanka technological cooperation.

While participating in GETS 2025, KTR is also currently addressing local issues in Telangana. During a visit to Basti Dawakhana in the Khairatabad Assembly constituency, he criticized the state government for failing to ensure timely salaries for healthcare workers and maintaining essential medical supplies. KTR warned that failure to correct these issues could lead to public protests spearheaded by the BRS party.
